New Delhi: The Yamuna continued to rise steadily in the city, touching 206.48m by 9pm on Tuesday. The Central Water Commission (CWC) now expects the water to reach its highest point on Wednesday morning by when it should rise another metre to about 207.30m. CWC had to revise its earlier estimate due to massive volume of water released at Hathnikund.
