Grant scheme for permanent power pump connection to farmers
With a view to providing permanent power pump connections to the farmers, the State Government has initiated ' Grant Scheme'. The scheme has come into effect from April 1 for the year 2011-12 in the state. The State Government can extend the period if need be. Orders have been issued in this respect.

Above 38 thousand 387 million units of power supplied for irrigation this year
With a view to give priority to irrigation in the state, a total of above 38 thousand 387 million units of energy was supplied this year. Last year 35 thousand 565 million units were supplied in the state. Comparing to last year about 2800 million units of more power was supplied this year. The capacity of 2526 high tension distribution transformers has also been increased.
