Mumbai:(PTI) Malaria-related cases in the metropolis have shot up by as much as 47 per cent this year due to increased construction activities and high humidity levels.
Mohali: As many as 118 teams would be operating in various parts of Mohali district during a campaign being launched by the health department to create awareness among people about dengue, malaria and other water-borne diseases. These teams would be covering all villages of the district in June, which is being observed as an anti-malaria month by the department.

Prevention better Jamshedpur, May 24: The malaria prevention programme in East Singhbhum has hit twin hurdles. With the monsoon nearly here, the district has failed to start spraying DDT and has run short of malaria medicines. Officials in the district health department maintain that the prevention programme should have begun by now. The district happens to be malaria-prone zone.

Siliguri, May 21: The Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) has decided to strengthen its drive against mosquitoes and formed a committee that will inspect all under-construction buildings to find if the sites are waterlogged.
PREVENTIVE MEASURE: The Coimbatore Corporation wants people in the city to allow its workers to pour larvicide in tanks to prevent mosquito breeding.
