Ahmedabad: A group of 20 angry denizens tried to stop a BRTS bus on its tracks near Jaimangal bus stand on Ghatlodia-Naranpura road. They also tried to damage the railings nearby. The reason cited was that they had to take a roundabout route due to the BRTS corridor. Earlier, angry commuters had vandalized the railings and pelted stones at BRTS bus near Valinath bus stand in Ghatlodia.

MUMBAI: The Bus Rapid Transport System (BRTS) for the city is slowly taking shape after much dilly-dallying and delays. Plans are afoot to build sections of the two main highways for the BRTS in order to ensure that public transport gets a boost.
New Delhi: In a bid to revive the East-West Corridor plan which had fallen foul of Delhi Urban Arts Commission, Delhi government has now hired a consultant to conduct a study on a brand new plan for the corridor. And this time the BRT has been thrown in, with the elevated road proposed to provide a dedicated bus corridor.
