First Air-Conditioned Bus By Dussehra TIMES NEWS NETWORK Ahmedabad:The first air-conditioned bus on the BRTS stretch will run by Dussehra. Ahmedabad Janmarg Limited (AJL), the governing body, is yet to decide on the ticket fare for a journey in the AC bus. BRTS will have at least 20 AC buses that will ply on the stretch by December this year.
The state government is looking forward to revamping the public transportation system in order to decrease the number of private cars, and thereby reduce traffic congestion by improving public transport, said Mr Asok Bhattacharya, state minister for municipal affairs and urban development.
