The work for construction of a cross regulator on Malukpura canal which started at Kabarwala village in Abohar two days ago has now taken a political turn. The Sardar Sarovar Dam (SSP) on River Narmada in Gujarat is set to rise from its present height of 122.92 metres to 138.68 metres, following permission from the Environment Sub Group (ESG) of the Narmada Control Authority.
