July 23: Water levels in Almatti, Narayanapur and Tungabhadra dam rose to their maximum levels due to heavy rainfall in Karnataka. Water in Krishna river started flowing towards Indira Priyadarshini project in Jurala of Mahbubnagar district while water from Tungabhadra river flowed towards Srisailam project. The irrigation officials expect the water to reach Srisailam reservoir on Friday night.
