Goa Agriculture Produce and Livestock Marketing (Promotion and Facilitation (Amendment) Act, 2022
The Government of Goa vide gazette notification dated 06th October, 2022 has issued the Goa Agriculture Produce and Livestock Marketing (Promotion and Facilitation (Amendment) Act, 2022. The amendment provides that Marketing Board shall levy and collect market fee from buyer in respect of notified agricultural produce including livestock bought by such buyer in the principle market yard or sub market yard(s) or market sub-yard(s) or anywhere in the State of Goa either brought from outside the State or from within the State. The fee shall be at such rate as may be notified by the Government by notification in the Official Gazette but not exceeding two percent ad valorem on transacted produce in case of non-perishable agricultural produce and not exceeding one percent ad valorem in case of perishable agricultural produce and livestock.
