Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Subash Mohapatra Vs State of Odisha dated 03/03/2021.
Grievance in the application was against the construction of a hospital building on forest land by the Rural Health Centre of ‘Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan’ (SOA) group of institutions in Jamujhari Mouza of Jatani tehsil in Khurda district, Odisha. The applicant has stated that he filed a complaint to the District Magistrate, Khurda, Secretary Forest & Environment and Chief Secretary, Odisha. Though MoEF&CC directed the Secretary Forest and Environment to enquire into the matter but no action was taken.
In view of the above, the NGT directed PCCF (HoFF), Odisha to look into the matter and take remedial action in accordance with law.
