Monitoring CO2 emissions from passenger cars and vans in 2018

This report provides an overview of the CO2 emission levels of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles (vans) in the European Union and Iceland in 2018 and manufacturers' performance towards their 2018 CO2 emission targets. The report is based on data reported by EU Member States (EU‑28) and Iceland to the European Environment Agency (EEA) and verified by manufacturers (OEMs). Average CO2 emissions from new cars increased by more than 2 g CO2/km in 2018. The vast majority of new registrations in 2018 were for petrol cars.
