Order of the National Green Tribunal regarding Saraya distillery operating in Sardarnagar, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh causing pollution, 06/01/2020
Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Dr. Anil Kumar Pandey, Prakritik Sampada Sanrakshan Samiti, Gorakhpur Vs State of Uttar Pradesh dated 06/01/2020 regarding Saraya distillery operating in Sardarnagar, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh causing pollution.
The Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board in its report of June 2019 pointed out the deficiencies and listed the measures to remedy the same. The NGT pointed out that the report does not mention the action taken for extraction of ground water without requisite permission and directs for a further action taken report to be furnished.
