Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Federation of River Residency Cooperative Housing Society Vs Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation & Others dated 22/05/2019 regarding construction of Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), Pune in the prohibited zone i.e. blue line zone of Indrayani River.
The NGT directs submission of a report on factual aspects by a Joint Committee comprising PCMC, Pune, Maharashtra Pollution Control Board and the Pune Irrigation Division within one month.
