Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of Research Foundation for Science Technology and Natural Resources Policy Vs Union of India & Others dated 05/01/2005 regarding dumping of hazardous waste, India. The matter relates to 133 hazardous waste oil containers lying at Nhava Sheva Port, Mumbai, Maharashtra. Supreme Court directs for the destruction of the consignments by incineration. The cost of incineration shall be deposited by the importers with the Monitoring Committee within four weeks.
