Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Rohit Choudhury Vs Union of India & Others dated 01/02/2018 regarding animal deaths in Kaziranga National Park due to accidents on the highway. The State of Assam has placed before the Court an alternative proposal to installation of Automated Animal Sensor Barriers. The Court observed that except revealing the budgetary constraints there is no explanation or revelation of the special circumstance or reason to go for the alternative proposal. There is no material to suggest greater efficacy of the alternative in comparison with Automated Animal Sensor Barriers.
