Order of the National Green Tribunal regarding pollution caused by a poultry farm, village Chhatamakhna, Bolangir District, Odisha, 02/01/2017
Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Bijaya Kumar Babu Vs. The Collector-cum-District Magistrate & Others dated 02/01/2017 regarding pollution caused by a poultry farm adjacent to Bargarh-Boriguma National Highway No. 26 at village Chhatamakhna in District Bolangir, Odisha. The Counsel appearing for the State of Odisha and Odisha State Pollution Control Board submits that they would conduct a joint inspection of the poultry farm and would submit a report to the Tribunal.
The Joint Inspection Report would also report whether the poultry unit has valid consent to operate and appropriate licences and also whether it is causing any pollution and environmental degradation.
