Climate resilient participatory afforestation and reforestation project: environmental management framework
The objective project Climate Resilient Participatory Afforestation and Reforestation Project is to improve the resilience of selected communities in the coastal and hilly areas of Bangladesh. This would be achieved by: increasing the size of afforested and reforested areas; strengthening alternative livelihoods of forest-dependent communities; and improving the institutional capacity of the forest department to sustainably manage forest resources. Project will be implemented in the selected areas of 9 coastal districts out of the 19 coastal districts of Bangladesh.
