PROMOTING CNG
Some 150 compressed natural gas (CNG) stations will be set up throughout Pakistan within two years under the nation's CNG promotion programme. Hydrocarbon Development Institute of Pakistan (HDIP) said that CNG would be a source of clean motor fuel in Pakistan in the 21st century having a number of qualities to meet future economic and environmental challenges. "CNG is not only a clean, economic and lead-free alternative automobile fuel but can also save billions of dollars in foreign exchange spent on import of liquid fuels annually,' said a spokesperson of HDIP.
