Tsunami early warning systems in the Indian Ocean and Southeast Asia
This report provides an overview of priorities for tsunami early warning systems in the Indian Ocean and Southeast Asia. It aims to guide the policy and programming of the ESCAP Multi-Donor Voluntary Trust Fund on Tsunami Early Warning Arrangements in the Indian Ocean and Southeast Asia. It also intends to provide advice to partners wishing to support efforts to fill identified gaps. This report is an update from a previous study and has been prepared in light of additional information and a number of developments in early warning systems in the region at the regional, national and community level. The report has been restructured to provide more analysis to users on the end-to-end early warning system (applying to tsunamis and other related hazards).
