Bihar plans to invest Rs 28,000 crore on power sector in next 5 years
Bihar has the highest T&D losses in the country. According to the government data, the state loses almost half of its power even before it reaches to the consumers Bihar government has decided to invest Rs 28,000 crore in the next five years on revamping the power sector in the state. Out of this amount, the state government has planned to spend Rs 10,000 crore on replacing its obsolete power infrastructure.

ADB to lend $500 mn for Rajasthan clean energy projects
It will involve 1,850 km of transmission lines, 3 new 400 kV substations and 9 new 220 kV grid substations The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will lend $500 million to set up a transmission network that will carry power from clean energy projects in Rajasthan. "ADB will provide $500 million to build a power transmission system needed to deliver clean electricity from wind and solar power projects in Rajasthan...To the state and national grids," the Manila-based multilateral funding agency said in a release.
